Mobile engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a mobile engineer who loves React Native and building experiences that feel native. You'll build iOS and Android apps that make complex Stripe analytics feel smooth and intuitive, whether founders are checking metrics on the tube or reviewing revenue at their desk.

You'll own the mobile experience end-to-end: from component architecture to app store releases. We're a small team that ships fast, values quality over quick hacks, and believes great mobile apps should feel effortless. Hard work during the week, team celebrations on Friday—that's the rhythm.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain React Native apps for iOS and Android from a shared codebase
• Implement complex data visualizations and charts optimized for mobile screens
• Collaborate with designers to craft mobile-first experiences that feel intuitive
• Integrate with Laravel APIs, handle authentication, and manage state efficiently
• Optimize app performance—fast launches, smooth scrolling, minimal battery drain
• Build offline-first features so users can check metrics without connectivity
• Own releases: TestFlight, App Store, Google Play, monitoring, crash reporting

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years building production React Native apps that real users love
• Strong TypeScript skills and understanding of modern React patterns (hooks, context)
• Shipped apps to both App Store and Google Play—you know the submission dance
• Deep understanding of mobile UX patterns and platform-specific guidelines
• Experience with mobile performance optimization and debugging tools
• Comfortable working with REST APIs and handling async data flows
• Strong communication—you can explain technical tradeoffs clearly

Bonus Points

• Experience with native modules (Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java)
• Built mobile data visualization or charting components
• Understanding of mobile analytics, crash reporting (Sentry, Crashlytics)
• Experience with CodePush or over-the-air update strategies
• Built fintech or data-heavy mobile apps before
• Early-stage startup experience—wore multiple hats, moved fast
