7 Best MRR Tracking Tools for SaaS in 2026 (By Data Freshness)

Matt Smith
By Matt Smith, Co-Founder & CEO · Updated July 2026
The short answer

For Stripe-only operators who check MRR daily, Mowt ($79/month, webhook realtime) is the strongest pick. ChartMogul (free under $120K ARR, 10-minute processing window) wins for multi-source billing. ProfitWell Metrics is still the free answer if you can live with delays of up to 90 minutes.

Every tool on this list claims real-time MRR. Almost none of them define it. So instead of repeating marketing copy, we went looking for each vendor's own documentation of how often data actually refreshes, and ranked what we found. The spread is wider than you'd expect: from Stripe webhooks that land in seconds to a batch cycle that runs every 2 hours, with one tool publishing no interval at all.

One more reason to read past the feature grid this year. QuantLedger, a webhook-based Stripe MRR tool with ML churn prediction, shut down in late 2025. Its sunset page gave no reason, no timeline and no migration path; the only link pointed to the founder's software agency. Customers who built reporting on it started from zero. Vendor durability now belongs in your evaluation next to freshness and price, and we score it below.

How we evaluated

Between June 22 and June 27, 2026 we pulled each vendor's documented refresh interval from their own help center (Baremetrics article 5380391, ChartMogul article 360002155580, Paddle's ProfitWell API docs, Chartsy's integration guides), re-checked every pricing page on those same dates, and searched the App Store and Play Store for native apps rather than trusting marketing pages.

Where no interval is published anywhere, we say "unpublished" instead of guessing. Review claims cite G2 or Capterra with the score and review count we saw in June 2026. Mowt is our product; its entry is ranked first and flagged so you can discount it however you see fit.

The list

Every tool, in detail.

1.

Mowt

Best for Stripe-only SaaS that checks MRR daily
Our product

Mowt is our product, so grade this entry accordingly: it's the only tool here where the documented freshness is seconds, not minutes or hours.

Mowt subscribes to Stripe webhooks, so a new subscription, an upgrade or a cancellation hits your dashboard in seconds. There's no sync schedule to document because there's no sync schedule.

Setup is a read-only Stripe OAuth that backfills your full history in minutes, and the metric set covers MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, ARPU, NRR, cohorts and forecasting. 500+ founders track over $1B in revenue on it, at 99.9% uptime.

The mobile story is the other differentiator. The native iOS and Android apps carry every feature the web dashboard has, full cohort and forecast views included, which nothing else on this list matches. Most rivals ship iOS only, an Android app with fewer features, or nothing.

The honest limits: Mowt is Stripe-only, so if you bill through Paddle or Chargebee you're looking at ChartMogul instead. Dunning and churn-busting tools are coming soon, not shipped.

And we're younger, with a smaller third-party review footprint than the incumbents below, so run the 7-day trial next to your Stripe dashboard and check our numbers against yours before you pay us anything. Pricing details on the pricing page.

PricingStartup $79/month to $15k MRR, Growth $149 to $50k, Scale $249 to $100k, Pro $349 to $250k, Business $499 to $500k, Enterprise custom; 20% off annual (as of July 2026).
Start 7-day free trial
Where it shines
  • Webhook-driven updates land in seconds; no batch cycle at all
  • iOS and Android apps with full feature parity with the web dashboard
  • One-click read-only Stripe OAuth with full history backfill in minutes
  • Flat MRR-tiered pricing from $79/month, 7-day trial without a card
Where it falls short
  • Stripe-only; no Paddle, Chargebee or multi-source support
  • Dunning and churn-recovery tools are on the roadmap, not shipped
  • Smaller review footprint than ChartMogul or Baremetrics, so verify against Stripe during the trial
2. ChartMogul

ChartMogul

Best for multi-source billing and cohort depth

ChartMogul is the field's depth pick: 25+ billing integrations, the strongest cohort analysis in the category, and free until you pass $120K ARR.

If your revenue arrives through more than one system, ChartMogul is where the comparison usually ends. It normalizes Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly, PayPal, Paddle and a long tail of others into one MRR view, then layers on cohort analysis and segmentation that go deeper than anything else here. The free Launch tier up to $120K ARR is the most generous entry point in the category, and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.7/5 across 44 reviews.

On freshness, ChartMogul is honest in its docs and merely quick in practice. Its help center describes Stripe, Chargebee and Recurly as real-time with a 10-minute processing window, while Braintree and HubSpot sync hourly and PayPal every 3 hours. For a daily operator that's fine; it just isn't seconds.

The gotchas reviewers raise are elsewhere: G2 and Capterra reviewers mention sync discrepancies against their billing system, and some long-time customers describe prices that doubled and then doubled again as ARR grew.

Mobile exists but is lopsided. Per its own store listings, the iOS app supports chart sharing and multiple accounts while the Android app is limited to switching intervals and capturing metrics. Fine for a glance, thin for real work on Android.

PricingFree under $120K ARR; Starter $69 to $849/month by ARR ($59 to $699 on annual billing); Pro $99 to $1,199/month; Enterprise from $19,900/year above $10M ARR; 17% annual discount (as of July 2026).
Where it shines
  • Free under $120K ARR, the best free tier in the category
  • Consolidates 25+ billing sources into one normalized MRR view
  • Category-leading cohort analysis and segmentation
  • Documented, specific freshness intervals per integration (rare candor)
Where it falls short
  • G2 and Capterra reviewers report sync discrepancies needing manual reconciliation
  • User reports on G2 describe repeated significant price increases at scale
  • Android app trails iOS on features per the vendor's own store listings
3. Baremetrics

Baremetrics

Best for a broad metrics suite with dunning built in

Baremetrics is the most complete suite here, 28+ metrics plus a real dunning add-on, but its own help center documents a 2-hour sync cycle.

Baremetrics tracks 28+ subscription metrics across Stripe, Braintree, Recurly and Chargebee, and its Recover add-on does genuine failed-payment work that most younger tools (Mowt included) haven't shipped. G2 reviewers score it 4.6/5 across 98 reviews and consistently praise the UI and support. If you want one supplier for metrics, dunning and cancellation surveys, this is still the shortlist.

The freshness result is the weakest on this list among tools that publish one. Baremetrics' help center states data syncs on a 2-hour cycle, so a churned customer at 9am can read as active until 11. For a monthly board pack that's irrelevant; for an operator watching revenue daily it's the most common complaint that sends people elsewhere.

Capterra reviewers also report inconsistent metrics and duplicate entries when combining payment sources, though the Capterra sample is tiny (3 reviews) next to G2's.

Price scales fast too. Launch is $75/month to $360K ARR, Growth jumps to $255, Scale to $1,152, and Recover plus Cancellation Insights add $129/month each. Mobile is iOS only; there was no Android app on the Play Store when we checked in June 2026.

PricingLaunch $75/month to $360K ARR, Growth $255 to $3.6M, Scale $1,152 beyond; Recover and Cancellation Insights $129/month each; 35% annual discount (as of July 2026).
Where it shines
  • 28+ metrics in one dashboard, the broadest suite in this list
  • Recover add-on does real dunning, which most rivals lack
  • Multi-source: Stripe, Braintree, Recurly, Chargebee
  • G2 4.6/5 across 98 reviews with consistent praise for support
Where it falls short
  • 2-hour sync cycle per Baremetrics' own help center, the slowest documented interval here
  • Capterra reviewers report inconsistent metrics and duplicate entries with multiple sources
  • Add-ons push a growth-stage bill past $500/month before $1M ARR
  • iOS app only; no Android app found on the Play Store as of June 2026
4. ProfitWell Metrics (by Paddle)

ProfitWell Metrics (by Paddle)

Best free MRR tracker

ProfitWell Metrics costs nothing, full stop, and its benchmarks draw on 30,000+ subscription companies; the trade is batch updates of up to 90 minutes.

Paddle bought ProfitWell for $200M in May 2022 and keeps Metrics free as a funnel into its paid billing and retention products. For $0 you get MRR, churn, LTV, ARPU, cohorts and benchmarking against a huge dataset, with native iOS and Android apps on top. As a first metrics tool for a pre-revenue or early-stage product, it's hard to argue with the price.

Freshness is where the free lunch gets billed. Paddle's own help docs say customers added or edited manually or via API can take up to 90 minutes to appear, and Capterra reviewers describe dashboard changes taking hours to show.

Reviewers also flag the age of the product: Capterra feedback describes an interface without meaningful updates in over five years, and G2 and Capterra reviewers both report mobile payment alerts that don't reliably fire. One G2 reviewer reported a 10x price increase on the paid Paddle side after a support ticket, which is worth knowing before you grow into their ecosystem.

PricingFree (as of July 2026). Paid Paddle products such as Retain and billing are quoted separately and negotiable.
Where it shines
  • Completely free with no metered limits
  • Benchmarking against 30,000+ subscription companies built in
  • Native iOS and Android apps, plus iOS home-screen widgets
  • Quick Stripe setup, around 5 minutes claimed and reviewers agree
Where it falls short
  • Up to 90-minute delay for manual and API changes per Paddle's own help docs
  • Capterra reviewers describe a UI essentially unchanged for 5+ years
  • Unreliable payment-alert notifications reported on G2 and Capterra
  • A G2 reviewer documented a 10x price increase on paid enterprise tiers
5. Fincome

Fincome

Best for finance teams that want KPI automation without SQL

Fincome automates the full SaaS KPI stack for finance teams with no per-seat pricing, but it publishes no refresh interval and starts at $4,500/year.

Fincome, founded in France in 2022, computes MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, cohorts and renewal metrics automatically from Stripe, Pennylane, NetSuite, HubSpot or Salesforce, with no SQL or data team required. It processes 100+ million invoice lines daily for 200+ SaaS customers, its published price list shows no per-seat charges, and G2 and Capterra reviewers repeatedly single out the responsive support team and the pace of new features.

Our freshness test came back empty, and that matters for this list. Fincome's site claims real-time KPI access, but no public document states an actual interval in seconds, minutes or hours. We mark it unpublished; ask for the number in writing before you buy.

The integration page is also aspirational: Chargebee, QuickBooks, Xero, Recurly, Braintree, Google Sheets and Slack were all marked coming soon when we checked in June 2026, so confirm your stack is in the shipped column. Capterra reviewers additionally note the $4,500/year floor stings for early-stage startups, and there's no mobile app.

Pricing$4,500/year under $1M ARR, $6,000 to $3M, $9,000 to $5M, up to $15,000/year at $7-10M ARR, custom beyond (as of July 2026).
Where it shines
  • Fully automated KPI calculation aimed at finance teams, no SQL needed
  • No per-seat charges on the published price list
  • Reviewers on G2 and Capterra praise support responsiveness and shipping pace
  • Handles CRM and ERP sources (NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot) alongside Stripe
Where it falls short
  • No published data-refresh interval anywhere we could find in June 2026
  • Many advertised integrations marked "coming soon" on Fincome's own integrations page
  • Capterra reviewers call the $4,500/year entry price a barrier for early-stage teams
  • Web only; no native mobile apps
6. Chartsy

Chartsy

Best for asking your MRR questions in plain English

Chartsy turns natural-language questions into charts from Stripe or Paddle data, cheap to try, but its documented sync is hourly for some sources and its paid pricing hides behind signup.

Chartsy's pitch is different from everything above: instead of preset dashboards, you type a question ("MRR by plan for the last 6 months, excluding refunds") and get a chart back. It computes MRR, ARR, churn, LTV and cohorts from raw invoice data across Stripe, Paddle and BigCommerce, and exports clean PDFs and PNGs for investor updates.

For a solo founder who dreads configuring BI tools, that workflow is genuinely appealing, and the free tier (10 prompts/month) costs nothing to test.

Freshness is mixed by the vendor's own help docs: Paddle Billing and Stripe are described as real-time (no interval stated for Stripe), while Paddle Classic and BigCommerce sync hourly. Two more caveats before you commit. Paid pricing isn't published beyond a "from $19/month" reference, with Pro and Enterprise costs behind a signup wall.

And the review footprint is close to zero; we found no meaningful G2, Capterra or community coverage in June 2026, so you're evaluating on the demo, not on peer experience. After QuantLedger, that thin public record is a durability question worth asking directly.

PricingFree tier with 10 prompts/month; paid plans referenced from $19/month, Pro (200 prompts) and Enterprise priced behind signup (as of July 2026).
Where it shines
  • Natural-language querying, no SQL or dashboard configuration
  • Covers Stripe and Paddle, which pure Stripe tools don't
  • Clean PDF and PNG exports for board and investor decks
  • Free tier with 10 prompts/month to evaluate risk-free
Where it falls short
  • Hourly sync for Paddle Classic and BigCommerce per Chartsy's own help docs; no stated interval for Stripe
  • Pro and Enterprise pricing not published; only a "from $19/month" reference is public
  • Nearly no independent reviews on G2 or Capterra as of June 2026
  • Web only; no mobile apps
7. Putler

Putler

Best for mixed SaaS and eCommerce revenue

Putler consolidates 17+ payment and sales channels from $20/month and has run bootstrapped since 2007, though a Capterra reviewer times its payment lag at 15-30 minutes.

Putler is the pick when subscriptions are one revenue stream among several. It pulls PayPal, Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy and more into one dashboard, auto-cleans the data (deduplication, currency conversion, timezone alignment) and layers RFM segmentation with 11 automatic customer segments on top.

Capterra reviewers rate it 4.8/5 across 32 reviews and like the 5-minute setup. Founded in 2007 and never funded, it also scores well on the durability test this list now cares about.

It's an eCommerce tool first, and its SaaS depth shows it. Capterra reviewers describe subscription metrics as not its strongest feature, a verified reviewer reports payments taking 15-30 minutes to appear, and there's no mobile app; several reviewers call the mobile browser experience buggy. If you're a pure SaaS on Stripe, tools higher on this list fit better. If you also sell on marketplaces, nothing else here covers that spread at $20/month.

Pricing$20/month up to $10K MRR, scaling to $2,250/month at $3-5M MRR; 14-day trial, no card; 50% nonprofit discount (as of July 2026).
Where it shines
  • Consolidates 17+ payment and sales channels in one view
  • RFM segmentation with 11 automatic customer segments
  • Cheapest paid entry on this list at $20/month, with a 14-day no-card trial
  • Bootstrapped and independent since 2007, a strong durability signal
Where it falls short
  • 15-30 minute payment lag per a verified Capterra reviewer
  • SaaS metrics described by Capterra reviewers as weaker than its eCommerce features
  • No mobile app, and reviewers report a buggy mobile browser experience

What MRR tracking costs at three revenue levels

At $15k MRR ($180K ARR): ProfitWell is free, Mowt is $79/month, Baremetrics Launch is $75, and ChartMogul has just left its free tier at $120K ARR. At $50k MRR ($600K ARR): Mowt is $149, Baremetrics Growth jumps to $255, and ChartMogul's Starter tier sits at $119 for that band, scaling with ARR toward an $849 ceiling.

At $100k MRR ($1.2M ARR): Mowt is $249 while Baremetrics stays at $255 plus $129 per add-on. All prices as of July 2026. Not sure which tier you'd land in? Work out your current number with our MRR calculator first.

Decision framework

How to choose: match freshness to how often you actually look

Here's the framework: pay for data freshness that matches your checking cadence, and not a tier more. A founder who opens the dashboard every morning and after every launch needs webhook-grade updates, because a 2-hour-old number will contradict Stripe often enough to erode trust.

A team that reviews metrics weekly is fine anywhere under an hour. And if the numbers only surface in a monthly board pack, every tool on this list is fresh enough, so buy on cohort depth, integrations or price instead.

Two cross-checks before you commit. First, durability: QuantLedger's shutdown proved that a good feature list doesn't guarantee the vendor exists next quarter, so weight tools with either years of history (Putler since 2007, ChartMogul since 2014) or a business model you understand.

Second, definitions: no two tools compute MRR identically, so read up on how MRR is calculated and diff each candidate against your Stripe dashboard during the trial before believing anyone's number.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best MRR tracking tool in 2026?

For Stripe-only SaaS that checks metrics daily, Mowt ($79/month, webhook updates in seconds). For multi-source billing, ChartMogul (free under $120K ARR). For a $0 dashboard, ProfitWell Metrics. Pick by your billing stack and how often you actually look at the numbers.

What happened to QuantLedger?

QuantLedger, a webhook-based Stripe MRR tool with ML churn prediction, shut down in late 2025. Its sunset page gave no reason and no migration path; the only link pointed to the founder's development agency. It's the reason vendor durability appears in this year's evaluation criteria.

How fresh does MRR data actually need to be?

Match it to your checking cadence. Daily operators need minutes or seconds, because a 2-hour-old dashboard will contradict Stripe visibly. Weekly reviewers are fine under an hour. Monthly board reporting works with any interval on this list, so freshness shouldn't drive that purchase.

Why does my MRR differ between tools and Stripe?

Each tool normalizes annual plans, discounts, proration, trials and refunds differently, so small gaps are normal and not necessarily errors. Compare each vendor's definition against how MRR is calculated, then diff candidates against Stripe during a trial before trusting either number.

Is there a good free MRR tracker?

Two credible options. ProfitWell Metrics is entirely free with iOS and Android apps, at the cost of batch delays of up to 90 minutes per Paddle's docs. ChartMogul is free under $120K ARR with a 10-minute processing window on Stripe. Both are real products, not crippled trials.

Which MRR tools have real mobile apps?

Three of the seven: Mowt (iOS and Android with full feature parity), ChartMogul (both platforms, but its Android app has notably fewer features per its store listings), and ProfitWell Metrics (both platforms, with notification reliability complaints on G2 and Capterra). Baremetrics is iOS only; the rest are web only.

Can I just track MRR in the Stripe dashboard?

Stripe Billing Analytics shows basic MRR and churn, but it lacks cohorts, segmentation, forecasting and normalized handling of edge cases, and it can't compare plans over time well. See our breakdown of Stripe's built-in analytics and its alternatives for where it runs out.

How do I test a tool's data freshness during a trial?

Create a cheap test subscription in Stripe, then time how long it takes to appear in the tool. Cancel it and time that too. Ten minutes of testing beats any marketing claim, and every tool here connects read-only, so trialling two side by side is safe.

Do MRR tracking tools change my Stripe data?

No. Every tool on this list connects with read-only access (Mowt uses read-only Stripe OAuth, for example), so they observe events without writing anything back. That also means you can run two or three in parallel during trials and diff their numbers without risk.

How much should I pay for MRR tracking at $50k MRR?

At $50k MRR ($600K ARR, as of July 2026): ProfitWell is free, Mowt is $149/month, Baremetrics Growth is $255, ChartMogul Starter is $119 at that band (scaling with ARR toward $849), and Fincome starts at $4,500/year. Between $0 and $255/month buys everything most operators need at that stage.
